I know what you must be thinking… Harmons isn’t a restaurant, but hear me out on this one.  They serve ready to eat dishes and they have a dining area… that sounds like a restaurant to me 😉

Harmons is known for the groceries but what most people don’t realize is that they have a section of the store that serves food, get ready for the list of items I have stumbled across:
Pizza, Fried Chicken, Tri Tip, Sandwiches, a plethora of different pre-made salads, pasta, a Salad Bar, Chinese Food, Indian Food, a Taco Bar, and an Olive Bar.

This place really does have something for everybody and with a second floor dining area complete with microwaves for heating up some of the cold dishes they even have a place to sit down and enjoy your newly purchased meal.  I am not sure I would recommend  eating a family dinner at Harmons but it is perfect for lunches and a lot of their cold items are perfect for taking home for an easy dinner.  I spend many lunches creating meals at Harmons and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon, the food quality is great and the prices are good, they will let you sample any item they have and they are extremely friendly.  So if you are looking for a place to go lunching or you just have a group of friends that can never agree on a place to eat, try Harmons, they have something for everybody.

Note:  Here is a list of some of my favorite items:

  • The Salad Bar is great, three different types of lettuce, fresh vegetables, eggs, cheese, sunflower seeds, almonds, and plenty of other items to choose from make this a great way to create a filling salad.
  • The Indian food is surprisingly good, it isn’t going to replace your favorite restaurant but it is much better then you would expect to find when you walk in the door.
  • The Chicken Samba Salad tastes great as a cold dish but if you heat it up and throw it on a tortilla you have a nice little fajita, great quick dinner idea.
  • The Egg Salad is wonderful, grab a fresh loaf of bread and make a hearty sandwich.
  • The grilled chicken, not much to say hear but heat it up and pair it with a side of fruit and a fresh green salad and you have yourself a very tasty and healthy meal.

I would love to hear if anybody else has a favorite Harmons meal or even if you have ever been there to eat, please let me know in the comments.
